Red Sea Emergency Committee

The city of Port Sudan has been in a severe crisis in shortages of drinking water due to the decline in the annual revenue of Arbaat basin, which feeds the city. The population of the city is doubled to nearly one million people.
There was also a miss in desalination stations, which led to water scarcity until the value of twenty five liters of water reached one hundred Sudanese pounds, and local containers spread in deferent parts of the city. Despite their health risks, they could not cover the need of the city.
For that reason, an emergency meeting was held on the third day of Eid al-Fitr on 18/6/2018 at the headquarters of the organization in the state of Kassala to form a committee to stand beside the civil society organizations and the drinking water authority and the emergency committee in the Red Sea
