Funding by UNICEF, Aleshraq Organization implemented a project to rehabilitate toilet and sanitation facilities in displacement centers in Red Sea State.
As part of the ongoing efforts to improve the health conditions of Internal displaced peoples, UNICEF and the Al-Ishraq Organization launched a project to rehabilitate the toilets in two displacement centers: Red Sea Secondary School Shelter and Hudhayfah Ibn Al-Yaman Basic School Shelter. The project aims to provide safe and suitable sanitation facilities, which will help in reducing the spread of infectious diseases in these centers.
Mr. Adil Mohamed Abdelhamid, WASH Project Officer at Aleshraq organization, emphasized the importance of this project in improving the health conditions of IDPs. He noted that the number of beneficiaries reached 988 displaced individuals and confirmed the continuation of awareness campaigns on the importance of personal hygiene and maintaining environmental and water cleanliness, to ensure the sustainability of the project and provide a safe and healthy environment for the displaced.
