this week Aleshrag Organization has opened a new water station in Samrat Alkaw village ( some 100 kilometers away from Halfa) at Rural Halfa Locality -Kassala State. Representatives from our Organization and the local community attended the opening ceremony.
Unlike traditional ways of getting water , which are common in these areas , this station is powered by electricity and have it own reservoir. It is expected to provide clean water up to 10 years for more than 2000 family at the targeted village and the surrounding communities . The storage capacity of the station is 5000 gallons with 8 distribution points for Human , 2 for Animal and one for Vehicle Water Carrying Tanks .
This new water station is an extension for more than 152 Clean water projects implemented by Aleshrag for the most needed in Eastern Sudan region and other areas in the country .
